Obedience Training
Obedience training is essential to a dog’s overall health. We view obedience as an essential part of being a responsible dog owner, regardless of if the dog is to be a pet or has a working purpose. We pride ourselves on having a high standard of obedience with all of the dogs that we train, and for good reason. A properly trained dog is essential for safety, both for the dog and for those around the animal.
An untrained dog is more likely to be reactive in new environments, and when a dog reacts, they tend to either bolt out of fear or face the situation head-on with an aggressive reaction. This can lead to issues with taking the dog to the veterinarian, to be boarded, or even can lead to struggles on walks around the neighborhood.
In the Landshark K9 Obedience training, we train our dogs to be trusting of their owners, regardless of the environment and situations presented. This way, the owner can be confident in moving through the world knowing their dog will stand firm by their side, and if a situation where the dog is off-leash, the dog will come back when called.
